Your groups meeting time & place will be determined 1-2 days prior to your hunt. You will be contacted generally between 6-8:30 PM and given the time and directions. Our meeting places vary, we hunt in many areas during a given season. Meeting time is an hour before shooting time each day (1/2 hour before Sunrise)
- We meet at Convenience stores located near the field you will be hunting that day so everyone has a chance to get supplies, food, and beverages. We will ask if all hunters have their licenses and collect any unpaid balances/payment for the days hunt.
- We will also give you parking details for the field when we arrive, then we will convoy to the field.
- Once we are in the field you will be asked to unload your gear and set it near the pit or blind.
- We will then drive the vehicles out of the field and park them for the day. Drivers may get a ride back out by our staff.
- You will be assigned a spot (hole) in the set up that will be your shooting station; you can jump in and get your gear ready or help setting the field. Your guides are used to setting up on their own but any participation is always appreciated.
- It is best to keep your firearm cased until your guide feels it is safe to load up.
- Once the field is set and all vehicles are parked you will be given instructions on all aspects of the hunt, most important is safety. If you are unsure about anything we urge you to ask questions.
- We shoot at decoying birds only. No pass shooting. Your guides will call all the shots to provide the best opportunity for all hunters and maintain a safe field. Please keep your firearm safety on at all times. The only time your safety should be off is when your firearm is clear of the pit/blind and you are taking aim at a bird.
- You will have time during the hunt to ask questions, share stories, and enjoy the day.
- Once the hunt is complete there will be time for your group to take pictures. You will leave the field the same way you entered.
- Bird cleaning in the hunted fields will be discouraged.
- Your guides work very hard to provide a safe and successful hunt and tipping them is greatly appreciated.
- We would like your feedback on your hunt, we are always interested in your opinion and ways we can improve our service.
